GMSG will be hosting a workshop March 29, 2017 on Interoperability in Mining. The Interoperability Working Group was launched based on feedback from GMSG’s corporate members. As a starting point, the group is holding a series of three workshops in Australia, North America and South America to take the global pulse of interoperability needs in the mining industry.

This Santiago workshop will build the scope and work plans for the working group. Workshop participants will:

  • Develop an agreement on scope for the working group, including a consensus on how we’re defining ‘interoperability’
  • Identify existing projects, standards, organizations that should be part of the overall industry strategy
  • Collaborate on prioritization: what are the key issues to be addressed; what guidelines, standards or tools are needed; develop a timeline to prioritize various project ideas

The outcomes from the previous Perth and Denver workshops will be brought forward to build on in this workshop.
