Andrew works for Peck Tech  Consulting as Technical Manager, Mining Solutions.

In 2007, Andy obtained his undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering from McGill University before joining Barrick Gold Inc. as a junior engineer at the Goldstrike Underground Mine (Meikle) in Elko, NV. In 2010, Andy left Barrick to complete a Masters of Applied Science in Mining Engineering at Queen’s University.  Upon completion in 2012, Andy rejoined Barrick, this time at their corporate office in Toronto. Here, in his role as Production Systems Engineer within the Mining Information Technology team, he managed mining-specific software and technical system implementations at Barrick’s mines worldwide. His responsibilities here included system selection and optimization, multinational project management and managing of enterprise-level agreements with Barrick’s largest software/technical system vendors.

Andy accepted the role of Technical Manager, Mining Solutions with Peck Tech Consulting Ltd. in April 2014. His initial focus has been product management for a new & exciting mobile 3D mapping technology. He also sits on the Governing Council for the Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group (GMSG) and leads the Situation Awareness Working Group therein.
